Nada je zvuk, který je založen na předpokladu, že celý vesmír se skládá ze zvukové vibrace. Praxe naslouchání nady vede k jednotě s nejvyšším, s Mahaparamashivou. Mantry proto vedou jogína k tomu, aby žil a vyzařoval stav a prostor Paramashivy. Když se tělo ohýbá v sekvenci ásan, otevře se aura (energie obklopující každého člověka); proto by do prostoru měly vstupovat pouze zvuky s nejvyšší vibrací.
